Mijas Costa is situated between Marbella and Fuengirola in the heart of Spain’s Costa del Sol. Like all large Spanish towns Mijas Costa is split into various sections: El Chaparral, La Cala De Mijas, Calanova, La Cala Hills, El Combo, Miraflores Resort, Calahonda and with its two major urbanizations; Riviera del Sol and Sitio de Calahonda.
As the name suggests, Mijas Costa runs from the beach right up to Mijas Pueblo in the mountains. The beaches at Mijas Costa are clean, sandy and have many opportunities for lovers of water sports. La Cala Beach has been awarded a “Blue Flag” and is one of the best beaches of the Costa del Sol. Holiday Makers and locals can enjoy jet skiing, water skiing, parasailing or just swimming in the clear blue Mediterranean Sea.
